Northeast Indie Book Festival 2026

Following the incredible success of last year’s sell-out event, the North East Indie Book Fest is back on Saturday 3 October, bigger, better and with even more brilliant independent voices to discover.

Join us near the beautiful village of Bearpark, Durham, for an uplifting, entertaining and proudly grown-up celebration of books, authors and Northern creativity.

This is an adults-only event created for readers who fancy an inspiring day out with fabulous books, fascinating conversations, fizz, nibbles and plenty of fun.

Throughout the day, you’ll hear from a fantastic line-up of authors as they share their stories, their journeys into publishing and the inspiration behind their work. Alongside our author talks, many more talented writers will be joining us to sell their books and merchandise, chat with readers and personally sign your purchases.
