Publish with us
Crear Publishing is an independent publisher based in County Durham, England. We work with a select number of authors each year, publishing bold, heartfelt and meaningful books under our own imprint. We are not a vanity publisher or a self-publishing service — we are a publisher that believes in the books we put our name to and the authors behind them.
What we offer
When you publish with Crear Publishing, you become part of our family. We take a personal, hands-on approach to every title we publish, working with our authors through every stage of the journey:
Publishing - We publish your book under the Crear Publishing imprint, handling the production process from manuscript to finished book across print, eBook and audiobook formats where appropriate.
Editing - Every manuscript we take on goes through a thorough editing process to ensure your story is the best it can be before it reaches readers.
Cover Design - We create professional, eye-catching cover designs that reflect the spirit of your book and stand out in the market.
Distribution - Our books are distributed to major retailers including Amazon, Kindle Unlimited, Barnes & Nobel and libraries, reaching readers across the UK and internationally.
Ghost Writing - If you have a powerful story to tell but need support bringing it to the page, we offer a sensitive and skilled ghost writing service to help your voice shine through.

What our Authors Say

The Antiquities of Amathea Academy
"It is a real delight to work with the wonderful people at Crear Publishing. First and foremost, Karen and Ryan clearly love books, love writing, love readers and love authors; that's what this super little publishing house is all about.
They're passionate about finding new stories and getting them into the hands of as many people as they can. Real care is taken at all stages of the process of producing a book, including sourcing fantastic covers, careful editing and thoughtful typesetting.
Whilst distributing their titles into a range of countries, they have a strong sense of home in the north-east of England and they coordinate exciting local events like book launches, fairs and festivals. Crear Publishing is a force for good in so many ways: I'm proud to be associated with a company that operates ethically in all that it does, and gives back its success in a variety of ways, including supporting charities.
So- please- if you're a reader, look through Crear's list. And if you're an author considering submitting to Karen and Ryan, send off that manuscript. I know I'm glad that I did!"

Words From The Soul
"Working with Crear publishing has been amazing from the start. I am so privileged to be working with such wonderful people
I’ve always wanted to publish my own poetry book and I was talking to a friend about it when they said they knew someone who could help.
This was when I heard about Crear publishing.
A meeting was arranged to go and speak to Ryan and Karen and to discuss what I wanted going forward.
I remember I was so nervous as I didn’t know what to expect but I was soon feeling relaxed after the warm welcome from Ryan and Karen. They met me and my mam in a little coffee shop close to our home so we didn’t need to travel very far at all which I thought was so lovely of them as they needed to travel for the meeting.
The meeting started with them wanting to know what it was I was expecting and what I wanted to publish. I took a couple of my poems which had been published in a school poetry anthology and also a short story I had written for a little girl I help look after at dancing.
I told them that I wanted to publish all of my poems in one book.
The meeting couldn’t have went any better, we were made to feel at ease all the way through and nothing was any trouble. Me and my mam were able to ask questions and if we had any concerns and it was all handled incredibly well.
After the initial meeting there was lots of emails and I had to send all of my poems and also I was able to put my own little drawings with each poem which is what I wanted to do. I designed the cover and also sent that over.
From there great publishing worked their magic and made sure that it was all checked and put into the correct formats.
I loved getting the updates of how it was all coming together and they kept in touch with us all the way through, anything I needed I knew I could get in touch and it would be sorted for me.
Once the book was all put together they sent me a proof copy which I thought was such a lovely idea and made me feel so happy that what I always wanted was coming true.
Ryan and Karen organised a book launch and made sure I had everything I needed for it and made it such a special day that I will treasure the memories forever.
Crear publishing are an amazing team and I would recommend them to anyone who is wanting to be published. They are so friendly, kind and helpful and will make sure that your dream of being published comes true.
I can’t thank them enough and I look forward to keep working with them and publishing more."

The Hearts - A Family of Substance
"Choosing to self-publish independently was a huge decision, and I genuinely could not have done it without the guidance, patience, and unwavering support of Karen and Ryan at Crear Publishing.
From our very first conversation, I felt completely supported throughout the entire process. From purchasing ISBN numbers and navigating technical requirements to book layout and production, they were there every step of the way. Every stage was clearly explained, every question answered thoughtfully, and every wobble met with calm reassurance.
Karen and Ryan didn't simply provide a service; they empowered me to understand and take ownership of my publishing journey. I am currently working on Book Three and, without hesitation, I would not consider using or recommending anyone else.
If you are considering self-publishing and want knowledgeable, supportive professionals by your side, I cannot recommend Crear Publishing highly enough."
"Karen and Ryan at Crear Publishing guided me through every step of my self-publishing journey with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. I'm already on Book Three!"
