Wow what a brilliant book. I could not put this down. This is one of my favourite books this year. It is typical northern British humour at its best. Ive not heard the term wassock in a long time.

To me this story is better than Bridget jones. It’s funnier, more honest and is set around older women which I loved.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but from the first few pages Lila had me hooked. Her date with Merve the swerve was hilarious as the morning after was described in such detail. The way she described her top 5 worst dates to Lottie had me in hysterics - we’ve all been there at some point.

Beneath all the humour tho is a story of friendships, finding love and finding yourself. The ups and downs of life and how we deal with issues whether at work or in our personal life are highlighted in this story. Often hilariously.

If anyone wants a great story which has you in fits of laughter at places then definitely go and get this book. You will not be disappointed in it.

I was kindly gifted this by bookbabespr and the author KL Crear to read and I’m so thankful to have read it.

I did not realise it was part of a series of 3 called the Teapots and Tequila Shots - so I’m off to get the other 2 now to read.
