Words from the Soul by Natasha Robinson is exactly what the title suggests, raw, heartfelt reflections that feel deeply personal yet incredibly relatable. From the very first page, I felt as though I was being guided through Natasha's inner world, one filled with hope, joy, resilience, and strength. There are poems on love, pain, growth, self-discovery and much more. With beautiful little line illustrations that the author has drawn herself. There are also sweet, lovingly written poems for her friends, family and those who have touched her life which made the book feel even more heartfelt and personal.

I love every single poem, but my favourite is possibly ' My Tree' This is my favourite poem because it beautifully captures the deep connection between a person and their safe space, in it the tree isn’t just a tree, it carries a symbolic meaning surrounding that of identity and emotional growth. I love how it reflects both strength and vulnerability, showing how we can feel both comforted and understood by the world around us. I resonate with this poem a lot, because I have a favourite tree that I sit under to write sometimes.

This book certainly speaks to the heart and soul and is so comforting and soothing. I highly recommend it. It reminds us that we are not alone in what we feel and that there’s beauty even in our most difficult moments. Its the kind of book that once you've read it you'll want to dip into it and read over and over again.
