Where There’s a Wheel There’s a Way Book Launch Announcement

We are absolutely delighted to finally share some exciting news that has been quietly brewing behind the scenes here at Crear Publishing.

On 27th June 2026, we’ll be celebrating the launch of Where There’s a Wheel There’s a Way by Karen Ferguson at the wonderful Field & Fodder, and this one feels especially close to the heart.

What makes this story so unique is that Karen originally wrote it when she was just nine years old. Over the years, the story has been lovingly passed down through generations of children within her family, making it not only a beautiful children’s book, but also a treasured piece of family history. In a touching tribute to its origins, Karen has chosen to publish the book under her maiden name, Ferguson, as that was the name proudly written on the original childhood manuscript all those years ago.

Bringing this story to life visually is the incredibly talented illustrator Lucy Nicholson, whose beautiful work adds warmth, charm and personality to every page. Alongside creating her own children’s books, Lucy has also worked with major brands including Moonpig, and we cannot wait for readers to see the finished result.
