We’ve been a little busy at Crear Publishing… and we couldn’t be prouder of what’s growing.

Since launching in January 2023, what started as a dream has become something truly special.

Today we’re incredibly proud to be publishing for ELEVEN amazing authors, each with their own voice, stories and journeys. Supporting writers and bringing books into the world remains at the heart of everything we do.

Alongside publishing, we’re also hosting TWO incredible book festivals this year.

The North East Children’s Indie Book Fest in July is especially close to our hearts as we work to inspire children to discover the joy, imagination and magic of reading.

The North East Indie Book Fest in October celebrates independent authors and the brilliant literary community we’re building together.

We’re also honoured to work alongside many wonderful charities and use what we do to make a positive impact.

And then there’s our very own Karen, writing as K L Crear, who somehow fits even more into already packed days.

Karen currently has two books with the editors:

The Christmas Rift and Living with the Scars, book three in the Playing with Fire series, written alongside her twin sister, Coleen Greenwood.

She’s also busy co-writing an extraordinary true-life story that proves reality really can be stranger than fiction.

Later this month comes something especially meaningful.

Where There’s a Wheel There’s a Way featuring Humphrey the tortoise will finally be published more than forty years after it was first written.

Written by Karen at just nine years old and published under Karen Ferguson, because she believes this story will always belong to that little girl, it tells a timeless story of friendship, compassion and perseverance.

After battling cancer twice, Karen is especially proud that donations from every book sale will support Dragonfly Cancer Trust.

Life is busy and the days are full, but we feel incredibly lucky to work with amazing people, champion great stories and hopefully leave a little good behind wherever we go.

We’re only just getting started.
